I played this side quest without looking up what happens online and my brain kind of just exploded. I thought AC lore was going completely off the deep end

So Watchdogs takes place in the same world as Assassin's creed, which now takes place in the same universe as Final Fantasy, which is connected to Kingdom Hearts. That confirms it. Sora will enter the animus in Kingdom hearts 3.

I would’ve loved a boss fight with Ardyn in Assassin’s Creed. Like a three part fight:
Phase One:
Normal Ardyn, not using the Power of Kings
Phase Two:
Power of Kings Ardyn, probably takes place outside the tomb
Phase Three:
Fully Corrupted Power of Kings Ardyn, taking place in an alternate realm where Bahamut would give you the blade and shield to weaken him enough so Bahamut can send him back

Also Lol Ardyn accepted his fate in XV like a boss. He didn't fight, he just went with it smiling.

So Ardyn was sealed in another world after going apeshit in his past, but then Bayek broke that.

It’s Bayek’s fault that Ardyn returned and messed up everything!
