Coronavirus Update: NYC Health Inspector Says Outbreak Could Last Through September

With 216 positive cases of corornavirus in New York State as of Wednesday afternoon, Gov. Andrew Cuomo says federal testing capacity is far below the demand. CBS2's Ali Bauman reports.

As an infectious disease doctor, I can tell you comparing coronavirus to flu is like apple to oranges. Although, we don’t know for sure, but it seems that risk of reinfection is low so as communities become immune hopefully the transmission goes down. Herd immunity might happen before a vaccine comes out.🤞

Today is my dad’s bday, but he’s not even getting a slice of cake cuz everything is closed where I live for 2-3 weeks

I know one Chinese individual in the building I am working in who had traveled to China to celebrate their new year with family there, and then rushed back into the U.S. one day before their flight route was stopped. Test accuracy is not so great, and there are reports from China, S. Korea and Japan saying the incubation period of this virus can be longer than 14 days. Who knows none of those fellows from China press the switch button. And America is not capable of handling the situation.

In all fairness, we, on the 'social media command center' are so quick to judge and criticize, especially when we are frightened. Lets PLEASE take a minute and be grateful for the millions of people out there who are working their butts off unselfishly to care for the sick, find a vaccine, etc etc giving of themselves for all of us. Some people say not to wear the mask😷 but don’t believe them. I work has A painter and sometimes when I don’t use it in the winter I get sick real fast also when I work on dusty houses interior or exterior especially interior summer or winter I get sick if I don’t use it because all the disease in the house not because of the paint, my recommendation use a mask or anything you have in your possibilities, Believe me you can reuse it if you wash it especially with the white clothing with Clorox, wash your clothing every day especially if you live near an affected area, be careful take care everybody I love you all, healthy first, Economy later money comes and goes, live just one,

Yeah i work as a travel agent for company in NY . working with school groups .all school trips cancelled for March April so far ..heavy losses. If this continues surviving without money would be impossible
