Warlock Positioning Guide | Wrath Classic Ulduar

The warlock demonic circle is one of the most criminally underused abilities in the game. Warlocks do not have the muscle memory from T7 to have mastery of this ability and I wanted to share a spot on every fight in T8 where you can optimize positioning/damage. Hope you survive longer, parse 100s, and enjoy.

LMAO at the thumbnail. Great guide. I'm religious about keeping a circle down at all times, but I've noticed hardly any other locks do. Fellow raiders have even commented on that fact that I'm actually using one. Such a unique and versatile lock utility. Nice to have these tips before heading into Ulduar. Thanks.

Good video. One tip I'll mention for anyone in a raid group with 3-4 locks, is to macro dropping a flare @self with your portal.

After killing myself for mistaking another locks portal for mine, adding a Flare not only prevents that from also adding some "flare" to your portal. Purple flare is a nice touch with the green imo

Nice tips. You need to decide if you are going to utilize your Demonic Portal as a quick escape or a quick "get back into position" ability. Personally I prefer the former. So typically I will drop my portal away from where I am positioned. For example - in the Mimiron fight - this allows me to quickly escape a laser barrage or rocket blast and then I can run back into position. In all fights, portal will make your pet "teleport" with you so you don't lose time (and shards) to resummon it.

I just wanted to suggest for ignis that you can use portal to negate the knock-up and give yourself another 2-4 seconds of cast time while everyone is flying through the air

with the mimiron fight in phase 2 do u try to get out of rapid burst aswell with the teleport?

So question about Vez because ports. get removed as you said does that mean that you make a port during combat? usually i think the best time to make port is at start of fight while puddles are not yet created

about XT: isn't it better to place a portal in the middle? So you could portal back after both light and bomb debuffs?
