I was wondering why the face plate was reversed and needed a mirror - mystery solved! What an incredible restoration. Incroyable!!

This one had a bit of everything - cold, bluing, heat treating, nickel plating, knurling (never enough knurling..) with the pièce de résistance (yes, I know I'm mixing languages) being the recreation of the label. Outstanding and enjoyable...

First time I've seen a scale like this! I was surprised at how many pieces it contains! You did a great restoration job!

This made me really miss my dad, who died aged 93, 6 yrs ago. He would have loved to see this restoration. My dad could fix most things and used a metal lathe as well as this guy to make replacement parts.

I´m speechless, this is beyond fantastic. I love how you remake your own broken pieces. I never get tired of it. Congratulations!!

I watch a lot of these restoration videos. My Mechanics is usually the best but this was very familiar to his style and I liked it. I also liked the time-lapse of the paint being removed, that was a nice touch!

Such an unusual scale. I’ve never seen one like that! Very nice restoration effort — especially remaking the decal for the markings!

Pretty accurate for a scale that's over 100 years old. I love how you kept the original colour and also made it look like new again. Good work! 👍

I wonder how many people fell while trying to weigh themselves before we developed flatter scales.

This restoration was so interesting to watch and the final piece of you trying it out to show how it works is so satisfying.

There's just something so mesmerising about the restoration of items from the past. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation.

Igaz, még csak az első restaurálást láttam, de lenyűgöző! Nagyon gondosan megtervezett, nyugodt, különösen PONTOS! ! ! munka. Finom, részletes, kiváló minőségű eszköz minden munkafolyamathoz. Öröm látni ilyen munkát. Bársonyos kezed van! ! ! Kérem, lássunk többet ezek közül. Tisztelet és gratuláció!

This was a real joy to watch. The effort put in to remove all that paint is noteworthy and a lesson to us all in patience.

I've always seen stuff like this in antique stores and always wondered how they looked when they were new. Amazing job!!

I'm so glad you added the sticker as proof that you restored it

I swear, my jaw is always all the way down to the floor when I watch your videos. Awesome job!!!

One of the better restoration videos I’ve seen lately - very nice job on both the project and the video. I’m both an amateur restorer and machinist, so I especially like projects that combine the two. Thank you! 👍🏼

It is lovely to see these wonderful old items, fully restored and in use. From an age when things were truly built to last. I hope this was as satisfying for you to complete, as it was for us to watch. God bless you, from UK <><

I love how you give immense respect to orignal parts, looks. This is a proper restoration. Most times it's just a violation out there.
