In 1953, General Motors released (1) the Cadillac Eldorado, (2) the Buick Skylark and (3) the Oldsmobile Holiday which were all top-of-the-line convertibles with every conceivable luxury to celebrate GM's 50th year in business. Still, the Packard Caribbean outsold all three of those GM models that year.
