Emily's Journey to the Global Mercy - Mercy Ships VLOG Part 1
Показать описание
Mercy Ships volunteer photographer, Emily Frazier, brings us along as she travels to meet up with the Global Mercy. The brand new, purpose-built hospital ship is the largest in the world.
Emily will be documenting the Global Mercy's journey to Antwerp, Rotterdam, and finally to Africa as it makes its way to do the work it does best: delivering life-changing surgeries and building up the healthcare infrastructure in sub-Saharan Africa.
Welcome to the official Mercy Ships YouTube channel! Subscribe for compelling videos about our nonprofit work in Africa, where we perform life-changing surgeries onboard our hospital ships while building and developing healthcare infrastructure. Follow along for stories of hope and resilience from our patients and our Mercy Ships volunteers.
Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to deliver free, world-class healthcare services, capacity building, and sustainable development to those with little access in sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 1978 by Don and Deyon Stephens, Mercy Ships has worked in more than 55 developing countries, providing services valued at more than $1.74 billion and treating more than 2.84 million direct beneficiaries. Our ships are crewed by volunteers from over 60 nations, with an average of over 1,200 volunteers each year. Professionals including surgeons, dentists, nurses, healthcare trainers, teachers, cooks, seamen, engineers, and agriculturalists donate their time and skills. With 16 national offices and our Africa Bureau, Mercy Ships seeks to transform individuals and serve nations.
