The INSANE Story of Papa John’s business by MagnatesMedia: Papa John’s franchise has over 5500 locations globally, revenues reported at over $2 billion dollars, and is one of the most successful pizza fast food chains in the world. And so it may be hard to believe that Papa John’s started out of a bar’s broom closet, that its founder resorted to dumpster diving in hopes of getting customers. This is the untold truth of Papa John’s Pizza business empire, and the founder who made it all happen… The Papa John’s story really began when a young 15-year-old kid by the name of John H. Schnatter got his first job washing dishes at a small Italian pizzeria known as Rocky’s Sub Pub. But John wasn’t content with just dish washing and set his sights on making pizzas from his first day. After months of hard work, the Fondrisi family who owned the restaurant allowed John to start occasionally preparing the pizza dough and tomato sauce, but they adamantly kept the honor of baking pizzas within the family. John was determined one day to run his own pizza business, but he’d have to wait quite a while to get the funding he needed. In fact, Papa John’s would actually begin out of a bar. And it’d be years before John could get the financing needed to create the first proper Papa John’s store. In this Papa Johns documentary, we follow the rise of the business, the very unconventional marketing strategies to get more customers, and the controversial twist in Papa John’s story. This business story is a rollercoaster of emotions - enjoy! (Produced by John Frazer. Co-written by John Frazer & L.D. Murphy). #Business #Entrepreneur #Magnates #documentary #businesses #company #papajohns

The free stocks are all worth between $3 - $2000 EACH! So if you get the full 15, that’s an absolute minimum of free $75 worth of stocks (which you can sell for cash if you prefer), and obviously some of the free stocks are gonna be worth more than that (hopefully a LOT more).

This is currently just for US citizens. But if you’re in Australia or Singapore you can also get $10 cash for simply opening an account using my link above! And hopefully moomoo will be expanding to more countries very soon. But YouTube analytics says the majority of you are in the US, so hopefully you can make the most of this free stock deal while it lasts. :)

I worked for papa johns from 2011 until a few months ago. From being on register only to delivering, then back inside making pizzas.. managing.. then I became a GM in 2017. I quit this year. You want real hard facts? John was the company. Hate him or love him, he made the company what it was. It has been a steady decline since 2018 when he was ejected. The only thing that saved PJs was covid. Corporate greed slowly downgraded food, upped expectations, they upped waged while shitting on the General Managers. Now they spawn out new products that make life more and more difficult on the instore workers just to try everything possible to stay afloat and try to hold on to what covid brought in... For real. You want to talk about the company having shitty pizza? John had standards and had people from corporate coming monthly, and at random, to make sure stores were holding their quality standards. There is no standard now. It's slowly going away because veteran GMs are being ran ragged and shortcutting to not lose their minds, and most are quitting. So those standards that were ingrained in us are disappearing from the stores, because we were the only ones that still pushed them.

I used to work at Papa John's as a driver in Dallas, you could easily make over $55, 000 a year equivalent until Papa John's kept trying to cut cost at the customers and employees expense. They pushed hard for you to favor Papa John's on your 401K saying that it always goes up but they tried to avoid downturn but cutting cost, drivers could take two deliveries at a time which did not work in busy stores so orders would go late and they wanted managers to cut labor. The reason behind the 2 orders at a time was to keep drivers on road more making $4.50 instead of $7.50 when in the stores.

UberEATS and door dash would have hurt them anyways but it was sad to see them self destruct bringing down such a good thing.

I worked at Papa John's in Richardson, TX in the late 1990s. Area manager was lousy and became one of the highest ranking executives in the company.

A long time ago papa johns was hands down the best pizza. Once I tried it I was sold for life. Well, now after they changed to the worst and cheapest ingredients they could find in china the pizza is just a tad bit better than Kroger's brand frozen pizzas. Its horrible, I never eat it anymore.

I see the real moral of this story is: There's no such thing as a "Mom & Pop" restaurant chain while also being a mega franchise with stock shares in a public company. Eventually, they always have to cut corners and costs of operating. John wasn't betrayed by business associates, he betrayed his own core business values while being hypocritical.
