He was very entertaining. He had a lot of records but never won a Super Bowl. This is the one thing if I could would be to have him at least win of those games.

I liked the insertion of the greatest pass ever thrown by Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl from an absolute full horizontal layout. I think he acquired his target in the air and pulled the trigger, not like he just made a diving throw on purpose. But since it wasn't caught, it doesn't count :(.
It seems kind of crazy that running for your life was innovative in his time, lol.. I never heard the take that his negative 30 and 40 yard retreats were just to get to a closer spot to throw from. I wonder how often his linemen held trying to hold their blocks or wandered downfield back in the day. But maybe the ineligible downfield is mostly a screen pass timing thing and they probably gave up on blocking after while to avoid penalties.

Not only did he never win a superbowl, NO quarterback who was near the top of his team in rushing ever won the superbowl. Roger Staubach at his best was never higher than 3rd in rushing for the Cowboys

Still considered by fans the "greatest Viking".

Not really dual threat. Everyone who played against him, especially in the Super Bowl, knew how to beat Tarkenton. Keep him in the pocket and force him to beat you with his arm
