This kind of pressure is real. It drove my little brother to depression and drugs. He died at 24. My family did nothing but put expectations of him making the NBA. Then when he didnt it put him in a spiral and he felt worthless.

My family did the same thing to me with a different sport. I thought my Mom saying i had to "take her out of the hood" was a good thing. And motivated me. But it took away the ability to be a kid. I'm stressed out over things a kid shouldnt be worried about. Also, it puts a pressure on you that when things don't happen you don't feel valuable. And you feel like you let everybody down. Luckily I learned to live for a higher purpose and trauma from childhood I made peace with. We grew up very poor in the Midwest. I now make 6 figures and im doing alright. My only regret is i was too busy with my own life that I wasnt there for my little brother while he was at his worst. He died at 24 😕 But he's always a living reminder for me to cherish the ones that care about us and make the most out of the short time we have on Earth.

Believe me when I tell you Marcus comes from an entire family of hoopers. I'm talking brothers, uncles and cousins. Tito was the one though. 6'3 with the prettiest jumper. My boy had in the gym range, smooth handles, bunnies and would go at anyone. Marcus is all 3 of his brothers game. Has Tito's hoop IQ and skill, athleticism like Jeff, Mike flair and the dog from everyone. RIP Tito. Miss my boy. #cancersucks

I was an immediate fan just watching his on court demeanor, I could tell he came from where alot of came from. He carries a certain type of seriousness that derives from a certain type of pressure and experience. I never knew his story, but now it all makes sense💪🏽
