I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Fun facts! I unlocked my math potential when I started to remember the quadratic formula! Crazy how that formula seem to be the key 🔑 to unlocking some math iq! This video will help your subscriber because the issues that alot of person have is they memorize mentally and not practically

Proper nutrition and sleep are also really important. One common overlooked nutritional deficiency is vitamin D3. It is especially true if someone is inside a lot and doesn't get enough sun. It plays a significant role in brain function. If you feel "foggy" (brain wise) you can always buy a D3 test kit online to check if you're low.

On a side note: So close to 1 million subs! Awesome!

What helps me in learning translation of text into algebra expression is to investigate sample solution and find anaology in the next excercise.
Tracking down how previous solution was made, I started to see patterns and apply them in the next task.

Hope this helps.

I would probably rather memorize with Anki. You can still write down the equation every time an Anki card asks for it, but the key difference here is that it is just so much more efficient to manage the timespan between two tests of a formula automatically based on how good the memory of that formula was last time. While if you write it down every single time you do a calculation, it becomes a major time eater without having more benefit. I was debating if I should really memorize math, but thanks to this video its clear... Yes I absolutely should. So I guess I'll sit down making Anki cards now.

When I was in my middle school, i memorized multiplication table up to 20. When I entered college, I used calculator to do maths. Now I am unable to recall the multiplication table correctly. I think use of calculator to do math took away my memory. Now I realise how important is memory in study. When I want to remember something I write it down for at least three times.

You need to utilize AI and ChatGPT. Ask it to break down every formula to its individual pieces. Ask it why and ask it to explain it to you like you're a child. Then work your way up to a Ph.D level. Once you know why it is what it is you'll remember it and understand it intuitively.

In addition to writing definitions, formula, etc., read them out loud. Use all of your senses.
Your orations of Mathematics may seem kind of goofy, but it will help to inculcate the concepts.

I think different people have different ways of remembering. My memory is largely visual. To recall something I have to be able to "see" it in my memory. No I do not have a photographic memory. In fact I had a psych professor say to not highlight text in the text book because changing the appearance made it harder to remember.

You have to practice almost every day. There is no way around it. No shortcuts. No cheating.

This way you achieve two things. First you won't forget. Second, slowly you will be better and better. Given enough time, you will be able to practice so much in half an hour that is insane, because you are getting quicker. You will be able to write down pages of formulas in 10 minutes. You will be able to solve math problems like you are breathing the air. It becomes that easy and natural. You don't have to be intelligent, you don't have to be talented. Actually at that level you don't even have to think anymore. You don't need to remember, because you just know it. It's kind of robotic.

It is kind of insane what can we achieve if we do something every day. If you don't want to practice almost every day, you rather should do something else, because then you won't be good ever. You will be just average. And the average is not in the middle. It is way down there. And that is where most people are. The lazy. Those who don't want to put in the work.

What i have learned is that learning the core basic of the formula and understanding it from left to right was key to how i remember methods and formulas.

Hey math sorcerer! I bought Calculus by Michael Spivak after watching your video and really enjoyed it. Can you do a review on Calculus on Manifolds as well?

This might be one of those instances where laziness can work to your advantage. The more annoyed and tired you get of looking a thing up, the more likely you are to memorize it. So the trick is to repeatedly force yourself into a situation where you need the formula or definition, i.e., do a lot of exercises.

This does work. After I write it down for the tenth time it sticks and I never have to write it down again.

I agree with writing the formula or equation then the solution. It seem tiresome but useful at times.
