Total no.of possible outcomes = 36
Now,
Sample space for the following event to occur that is getting a sum of 9
= (4, 5)(5, 4)(3, 6)(6, 3).
No of favourable outcomes = 4.
Probability of getting a sum of 9
= 4 / 36 = 1/9.
