USB vs XLR Microphones

Usb when you are starting out and switch to xlr later. The xlr just gives the podcast a different more professional feel

i understand both usb and xlr, but as a musician i prefer xlr. tons more flexibility and control, and i dont have to rely on software to set gain and do other basic things.

As musician I would say XLR are way better but you can buy a usb mic that have good or similar quality to the XLR

All goes down to purpose & cost. If u can afford XLR why not? If Usb does the Job for a Podcast then why not? Dont fall for marketing gimics but what works for you!

USB has a limit on cable length and xlr can run way longer cables

I'm kinda more on XLR. Like on my main PC setup I have a XLR, because I already had a deck cause of my headphones, but for my laptop I got a USB mic because I don't see the point in carrying around all that stuff.
