James, I can assure you: I live in Brazil, I'm not rich, but I've managed to fly business class a few times. It depends on the airline you choose. There are some "tricks" like having a credit card that earns miles, buying in advance, and taking routes that aren't very busy. I flew business class at the beginning of this year to London (what a beautiful city, I loved it). The round trip cost just €1, 000 (converting the price, since I paid in R$). I flew with Latam. It's not always that price appears, but it's worth keeping an eye on (I bought it almost a year in advance).

Delta does seem a bit underwhelming (still amazing) but from my personal experience United Air was on par with Virgin in terms of almost everything. Loving the series man!
