For the last 68 years iam living here every year its getting worse.the water logging areas since my childhood remains the same shamelessly inspite of BMC Being The Richest Corpn.

Only the right education can stop these disasters.
I used to have a neighbor from Mumbai renting on my street. He throws all the rubbish from his house to the streets in Melbourne. When the neighbors spoke with him, he couldn't even understand he is doing something wrong. He argued with all the neighbors on this until he left the house. It was a nightmare to cleanup the street and keep it tidy when he stayed there. The plastic and polythene he threw blocked all the water drainage on streets. All were scared of a possibility of flash flooding at the time.
He even challenged another neighbor to prove that the exact piece of rubbish was thrown by him. 😂
The street stays very clean after they left few years ago.
Parents, teachers at schools can make a huge difference in upbringing of children. These type of habits can't be fixed once they are adults. Start when they are kids.

That Delhi airport which collapsed was constructed around 2010 or something. The 8000 crore extension done recently is 100 metres away from the collapsed area.

Palki always remember the first heavy rains are always like this year after year every year because we r nearly an island While the rains and cyclone was unprecedented and no government can do anything to prevent that quantum of rains falling over the city in less than 24 hours. The issue of flooding is complex and cannot be attributed to one factor alone. This is what is expected when you reclaim most of the land and build upon where the sea or wetlands were to be. It'll happen every year cos you have to let water find its own level
