My biggest pet peeve is people screaming that everything is a dupe just because the packaging may look a little similar. I also find it interesting that people slammed Revolution for copying One Size blush trios but when Morphe does it people are like “slay, Morphe is back!” Ugh. Also the Givenchy pressed powder is amazing!

I think my favorite April fools “joke” this year was holo taco’s polish in Pantone’s ugliest color that THEY ACTUALLY RELEASED as limited edition. It makes a lovely nail polish color honestly 😂

As a longtime prestige beauty advisor in Ulta, I can tell you at our store REM beauty is rarely purchased and rarely even asked about. Its gondola was relocated towards the front, still no sale increase. Every so often some teenage m/tween Ariana fans will come buy a lip gloss, liquid shadow, or that felt marker lip tint but that’s about it 😬I’ve tried quite a bit, there’s just nothing I can’t find from another brand at a better price with a nicer formula. She needs to pull a Gaga and just totally revamp or lower prices and be more in line with Morphe or Juvis’s place.

Girl cult is one of my favorite C beauty makeup brands. There 4 pan pallets are so good. And the multi chromes are stunning, super buttery pigmented mattes. Highly recommend ❤

Those Stila quints remind me of what I call 'Whole Foods makeup.' Like a big health food store has a makeup section and you kinda perk up and get excited to look at it all. Then you realize it's a bunch of subpar formulas with greenwash hype words and absolutely coma-inducing boring color stories, and it's for people who actually don't know anything about makeup and obsess about 'toxins' in everything.

Another part of the Elf Conversation is that a lot of the times, when they do dupe they release more shades than the high end brand. Elf makes sure to include people who look like me and deeper…as a side note…the Icy Betch palette…I am STILL mad I decluttered it…it was the best Tarte palette

Re: your advice to splurge on good brushes, 100%! About 2-3 years ago I decided my makeup skills had developed enough to invest in a set of rephr brushes and it changed the game for me. All of my makeup applies so much easier and seamless. I can never go back to elf or real techniques, especially for eye makeup!

Oh, I do have one green lipstick from Guerlain, in their boujee lipstick container (which is funnily matching the lipstick shade) and I do recommend that. That's a mortal weapon, perfect to do your makeup with their tiny mirror while also stunning an attacker, 10/10 would recommend XD

If we think about which makeup products we use up and buy the most? I tend to buy primer, foundation, powder, setting spray, and mascara more often. Those products run out surprisingly quickly. On the other hand, I've never use up of eyeshadow palette, even though it's the product that tempts me the most. So the setting spray is so logical to come in again.. it´s something people buy more often.
