Dan, Thank you for your tips. They are so useful in life. They are not the BLAH BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH confusing and conflicting. Thank you so much. They are truly helpful. Thank you.

Very clever about the loop at the end of the wrap! Thanks — much appreciated…

Thanks Dan! That’s exactly how you wrap fishing rod guides on, usually a few more wraps over loop though (5-7). Have a great week! 🔪👍👍

I have always done this by laying a loop down first that covers the whole area to be lashed, leaving one end of the lash at the bottom. Then run the lashing from bottom up to the top where the loop is, then slide the running end of the lashing through the loop, and pull the bottom end tight, whihc pulls the running end through the loop and under the lashing.

Great tip, learning to do a simple wrap is great for emergencies and learning some paracord wrapping knots will up your game considerably. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I REALLY enjoyed your collabs with Townsends Dan - they seemed like the perfect combination of your skills and the period that could most use them.

Great idea. Love it.
Makes me want to expand on it: using a generous length if cordage, do a pull-loop on both sides of the handle to have a nice symmetrical ’ridge’ on both sides.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like it's a similar technique used for whipping the ends of rope to prevent them from unraveling. Thanks for all of your tips & information.
