This was simultaneously the best and worst prank House pulled on Wilson. Awful because, well, giving him a fake son IS awful. The best because it showed Wilson something about himself and stopped him from making a terrible decision

Wilson would have made the best dad ever. He is so endearing, and you can not help but to completely love him. The end of the show is the biggest heartbreak I cried thru the entire season.

The fact House can be so simultaneously compassionate and monstrous is wild. He obviously recognized something was wrong and that Wilson was compromised, and acted on it to help Wilson (while getting a good laugh out of it too). He basically held the impossible emergency cable that Wilson would have needed had it been real. House saved Wilson from making an irrevocable mistake while also showing just how seriously he cares about the life of children. Wilson is insanely intelligent and rational and, when he can't be, House is there to catch him every time. This has been one of those times, even well before Wilson realized he fell over.

Love the fact that this means one of two things
Either 1 - House asked Wilson how he'd feel if he'd gotten her pregnant 11 years ago, just out of the blue remembered his response and decided to prank him
OR
2 - House started this prank 11 YEARS AGO, where he asked Wilson the question KNOWING that in 11 (or so) years, he was gonna find a child actor with a decent resemblance to Wilson in order to pull off the joke.
