A quick highlights video showcasing some of the new capabilities introduced in QGIS 3.34 for viewing spatial data in the Cesium 3D tiles format.

This work was completed by North Road Consulting together with Lutra Consulting, thanks to an ecosystem grant from the Cesium project.

This is really cool - have a subscribe! I signed up for a Cesium Ion free account, but darned if it isn't difficult to find a plain URL endpoint to add to a client (QGIS or ArcGIS Pro) on the page. I would expect some sort of guidance from Cesium saying "here is how you construct the URL to add global OSM buildings."

Because of my line of work, I've had a LOT of interactions with Cesium over the years, and while I like what they do a lot, one thing that has always frustrated me with them is that their stuff is written almost exclusively for web developers, not analysts/users who just want to drop a link in their GIS client and Do Work.

How can i view the locally located 3D tiles such as in drive C or D. Can we do that?

Great work! This is an awesome addition. Still, im not sure how to find each time, the URLs tiles for the points of interest. Anyone can tell?
