Wrong. Its not about pure or unpure. It is according to the octane number of the petrol. The quality of the petrol is not found by the octane number but it is the characteristic of the fuel.
The higher the octane number, the more it is hard to burn the fuel without getting it under pressure. So the higher compression engines, which compresses the fuel to higher levels, require a higher octane number. So that the fuel doesn't burn before the compression stroke of the engine or else the engine will cause Knocking.
Higher compression engines require high octane and lower compression engines require low octane fuel to operate at optimum level.

High octane is not for better mileage, it helps in reducing the pollution from the vehicle.

Back in 2020 I filled 2000 worth of Normal petrol in my car. It gave me 356 kilometers. Than next I pour 2000 worth of high octane. It gave me 356 kilometers. Although in terms of litres the normal petrol was more being cheaper. So you get the same mileage in the same amount of money. But yes the car drives better, gives better response. Feels same just like when you convert from CNG to petrol.

Usually i use shell v power in my mehran 91 model really it works better and also it feels change in engine noise

With due respect sir and IMO the octane rating only matters if you are not using the factory recommended fuel.
You are good to go even with lower octane rating as long as its manufacturer recommended.

From engineering point of view it does not increase the fuel economy. It improves the engine performance though and avoids knocking because sometimes the fuel burns before the end of the compression stroke (auto ignition) or doesn’t burn completely at the end of compression stroke, so after the power stroke when the piston moves upwards for exhaust stroke, the unburnt fuel burns and pushes the piston with a force downwards, these unpleasant events cause sometimes bending of the connecting rods or other severe defects. This phenomenon is called knocking which is avoidable by increasing the octane number (chemically longer chains of hydrocarbons) of fuel.

Normally n-heptane & iso-octane is added to gasoline to prevent premature egnition in combustion chamber that causes knocking .this way, fuel average also becomes slightly better and becomes slightly less polutant .and also increases engine life .By the way, i am chemical engineer

engine bhi dekhna parega agar apka engine 9 to 1 compression ratio par chal raha tou high octane dalwane ka as such koi faida nhi kyunke engine us fuel ki theek se energy extract nhi karpayega
sada fuel he sahi rahega phir

My average dropped after fuelling it with high octane. I think its because it burns better then the regular thus giving better performance.

Well I observed its good for heavy cars for low CC cars use mix fuel.

As per my experience, high octane doesn’t increase or decrease the fuel average, but you feel more power in your car.

Hi octane is not the purest form of fuel. It just has the higher ratio of Reformate which has the max RON among all the other components of petrol.

No it all depends on the engine. Either hi octane or unleaded. Most of our regular cars take unleaded and if you use hi octane it will burn faster and ruin the engine.

Yes. 1 litre Hi Octane gives better fuel average as compared to1 litre of normal fuel. I've tested it myself. The price difference is covered with the better fuel average so practically cost remains almost the same.
Moreover, it also reduces knocking, is better for environment, and good for engine's health as well.

I felt no difference in Nissan Rouge 2020. It does between 590-597 no matter where I fill, regular (87), premium (89) or hi oct(91).
