Go into Settings and slow down the playback speed, and pause the video frequently to give yourself time to read the Spanish subtitles and translate them into English. Did your teacher give you a list to of relevant vocab for you to refer to as you watch the video or could he/she maybe give you a set of questions so that you only have to listen out for specific information?
