He was trying very hard to see if Jesse was broken fully, before this he tells him its just them two alone, then he tells him "this is unmarked cash and I have so much of it that I wouldn't notice one book go missing".

As a person who’s known a psychopath in the form of both family and friends. This is legitimately the most accurate representation of how a psychopath conducts themselves on an everyday basis. Now I’m not referring to Todd’s actions specifically, most psychopaths aren’t murderers, or even violent in any way. What I mean is the conscience, moral, and overall emotional side of Todd is really what makes his scenes so sickening to me, the utter ignorance he has to what he says or does and how it makes people feel is just terrifying. He talks about killing his maid and dumping her body as if he’s talking about making a run to the grocery store. His explanation on why he did it is like he’s explaining why he lied about something to his father when he’s in trouble, like it’s not that serious to him. This is exactly how conversations with psychopaths I’ve known would go when I caught them lying, stealing, or cheating on someone. No remorse whatsoever, just no conscience or ability to grasp what they did had hurt someone. It’s sad.
