India Today's Mood of the Nation opinion poll survey results projected a close contest between the INDIA alliance (53%) and the BJP-led NDA (40%). Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress is suggested to win 22 seats, just ahead of BJP's 9 seats. The Congress is projected to win only one seat, down from two seats the grand old party won in the previous Lok Sabha elections.
