Karl Malone's relationship with Gloria Bell was a subject of controversy. In 1984, when Malone was 20 years old and Bell was 13, they began a romantic relationship while both were living in rural Louisiana. They had two children together, born in 1985 and 1990. However, their relationship became highly scrutinized due to the significant age difference and the fact that it began when Bell was still a minor. The situation led to legal issues and public backlash. Malone eventually acknowledged the relationship and his children with Bell. While details of their current relationship remain private, Malone has provided financial support for his children and has expressed a desire to maintain a connection with them.

“I’m not discussing any of that backlash, ” Malone told the Salt Lake Tribune. “I don’t care. That’s my life, that’s my personal life, and I’ll deal with that like I’ve had to deal with everything. So, whatever.”
