Crash and safety test of the 2021-2023 Toyota Highlander / Kluger

The Toyota Highlander (sold as the Kluger in Australia) scored a 5 star ANCAP safety rating.

Dual frontal, side head-protecting airbags (first, second & third rows), and side chest-protecting airbags (first row), and a driver knee airbag are standard. A centre airbag to minimise occupant injury in a far-side impact crash is not available.

Autonomous emergency braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road User and Junction Assist) as well as a lane support system with lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW) and emergency lane keeping (ELK), and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS) are standard on all variants.

The Toyota Highlander has also been available in Europe since 2021. Exclusively as a Hybrid. We ordered one and it will be delivered on May 18th this year. We have been driving Toyota for 25 years and have never been disappointed.

I have a 2021 HIGHLANDER XLE . IM CURRENTLY GETTING 22 MPG around town . the six cylinder has 300 hp, plenty of power pus a towing availability. There made in the United States and I'm sure the Toyota people trained our workers on pride of workmanship . The Japanese people stress respect, especially for their seniors in the family .This pride and respect shows in the quality of the Toyota line of cars . I've only had mine 2 weeks but I'm already $ ahead . My Hummer was a guzzler and continually having mechanical problems.

Just traded in my RAV4 Hybrid for a Highlander because of the safety of this vehicle. The gas was amazing on the RAV4 not gonna lie since inflation went up but the fact that that huge battery sat below my little one scared me to death everytime I drove hearing about all those blow ups!! We finally have a safe, reliable SUV for our growing family ❤
