A Day in Pittsburgh: The Strip District

We stayed in Western Pennsylvania for a couple days for a wedding. We took a Sunday Day Trip to Pittsburgh's Strip District. And area full of shopping, good eats, breweries, and history. Come along with is to see how we spent our day.

Great video. I grow up there. I couldn’t wait to leave as a kid. It looked nothing like this. I must thank the mayor at the time. He really revitalized the downtown area. He did an amazing job. I think it was mayor Calliguri(don’t quote me) mayor from the 70s to 80s. Im still in awe of how he did the Strip district. It was a hell hole. I’m rethinking about moving back.

One small correction. What you show was actually the second Heinze factory. The first was in Sharpsburg. After they moved to where you show they tore down the old one and built a small park that has a baseball feild, playground, basketball courts, etc.

My boyfriend is from Pitsburg and thinks that leaving that tunnel is the best view of downtown Pittsburg. I can't wait to visit one day, hopefully not in the winter...lol
