Hate this prop firm trend. Reminds me of the signals trend. It’s a lot of people telling you how to make money but they make money not off of what they preach but off of you

US 🇺🇸 Futures Tax Benefit :
Profits are taxed at (2) levels.
= 60% capital gains bracket
= 40% regular state tax bracket.

FYI
- Most traders don’t qualify.
-some states have varying rates.
-some states don’t have any state income tax
-some traders can create an LLC and qualify.
-Check the current “Capital Gains Tax Rates”

• May 1 2024 Rates
- If income is more than $47k-$518k you’re paying ONLY 15% rate.
-if income is $518k++ you’re 20%.

- Trader must first sign up and qualify for Trader Status with IRS forms.
- or open a LLC and register trading as your primary business

Tori, in case you didn't noticed, all major FX pairs trade in Futures as well as the Spot Forex market, so if you switch to Futures you don't really need to give up on Forex

I found futures because of you!🙏🏼 I have 4-5yrs trading Forex and forsure the price is not that accurate depending on the broker plus the spreads..

I swapped from Forex to Futures back in 2018. It was mostly due to leverage limitations in Forex as a US Citizen.

Definitely Tori, we Ultimately just gravitate towards what is more reliable & safer to trade. For me, the only reason I would transition into Futures is because of their reliability and because you made them popular, that's for me.

Traded stocks, forex and now made the switch to futures. Barely trading only 2 years but I think I finally found the niche I want to be in. Never really found that drive in stocks or forex how I’ve found in futures. I love it. Wish I would have started in futures but we are here!!

I’ve recently moved from trading stocks to futures specifically NQ, there’s a lot of good reasons. Futures are taxed in the U.S. as long term capital gains and not short term. No PDT rule in futures. Now I only trade one Ticker instead of running through a stock scanner to find my trade. Finding a decent broker with good commissions and a nice platform was hurdle through.

The leverage is great, options on futures can be insanely profitable as well if u know what ur doing mostly because it’s even more leveraged

The implied volatility of Forex market is in the lows, prior to the FED and ECB moves with the rates. Then...the market will catch fire again. Personally i trade both, S&P, Nikkei and forex.

I used to trade futures, but I don't anymore. Stops are practically a necessity, but large stops are somewhat necessary which leads to large losses on stopped out trades. Index futures seem to be capricious in this way. Never tried commodities, might be 'better'. Now, I trade spreads, which are better than long options, and have a distinct advantage over futures with "limited losses". Future losses can build up as the market really moves away from entry and eat up the entire account, regardless of how small the initial position size is, regardless if one goes long or short. Vertical spreads don't have that risk.
