We are now in the tiny house of life with under 800 square feet for 8 of us. Yep a large family in a tiny house. Yes a lot of kids well 6 of them as we homeschool too. I try to use public domain books that are really vintage textbooks. It gives us the feel of Charlotte Mason and Robinson Curriculum into our own feel. I try all kinds of curriculum to find the right fit for my kids. We do our homeschooling in an exterior School Shed or school house, or really an old construction trailer that we use as a school room.

I am a little flair of fun and crazy with 6 kids. We homeschool and try to keep ourselves in budget for life. I am a planner addict too! I work hard to stay fit, sometimes I am winning and sometimes I am failing. I am constantly asked how I do it, so here it is. Here is a window into our life, I hope that it either makes you smile or helps you out.

I would love an Ollies near my house but then I would probably buy way to many books.The science and space drawing book looks amazing! Also I would frame all those posh pictures too!

I just found your channel...first of all..I absolutely LOVED your short hair styles. I mean you look darling with longer hair too...but, your short hair was FANTASTIC!! I'm an old grandma now...getting ready to help my 11 year old grandson learn to read who is ADHD. His mother (my daughter) who is now 37 was diagnosed as being dyslexic when she was 7.... back in those days we never heard of ADHD and never heard of homeschooling. Just 2 weeks into the new school year the teachers are already saying how far behind he is....my daughter will be paying for a tutor one day a week, but asked if I would help him another day...of course I'm happy to see if I ca help.


 I won't go into what all we did to help my daughter to read..or learn in general...but, it was a very tearful time. One of my happiest days was when she graduated from high school. She is now experiencing it all over again, this time through the eyes of being the mother of a child with a learning disability. All of that to say...I so appreciate your openness and honesty in your struggles teaching your children. Your sharing really does make a difference! THANK YOU!



p.s. On my side of the family there are numerous others that have had difficulty learning. I truly believe it's genetic.

I love Ollies! That's where we get almost all of the board books for babies/toddlers because they are only 1-2 dollars a piece instead of 5-10 a piece.

We have an Ollie's here but I'm not super familiar with how it works. So all the stores have the same things or are there different finds at different stores?
