I Challenged x5 USA Champion Kanak Jha

Yes guys!! Today we’re joined by 5x US National Champion Kanak Jha! Kanak has dominated the US scene since his first victory winning the men’s title at the age of just 16! Kanak has gone on to reach a highest world ranking of 19 and defeated the likes of Harimoto, Hugo Calderano and Lin Jun Yu!

In this video, I do some training with Kanak, we look at his bat setup which is the Dignics 05 rubbers on both sides, with the Viscaria Super ALC, he gives me some top pro tips and we do a challenge match at the end.

I remember playing a practice match in the hall with this kid at a US open when he was about 9-10yrs even back then I knew he was going to be great!

When kanak did the high toss serve, I got up, made a cup of tea and came back. Need to learn this serve, it's world class.

99% of my table tennis I play in Garages - limited space. Kanak's comments in this video were the most useful tutorial I've gotten on how to play practically in mine and my friend's garages :) (Eg where you have to be closer to the table - power from the wrist, keeping the arc safe and consistent by hitting the side also, not the top, etc). So useful. Also fun to watch. Thank you!
