I know this video was late, but I do want to say this. For those of you who are looking for a purse that can serve as a tech bag, make sure that you get a leather bag or a really heavy duty canvas bag. If the bag is leather, make sure that the straps are fairly thick and that they are sewing well. The thing with using regular tote bags IHSS carrying cases for laptops, rather than actually buying a dedicated backpack is that the straps can become thin and brittle and break because tote bags are usually used for traveling or to put a few items in that are very lightweight. Just so I throw that out there, I know that Junie and Burke is no longer popular, they tend to have a really good all weather leather and is pretty durable and it can definitely withstand carrying heavier supplies if you buy the right kind of bag. If you really do want to use a tote bag, a laptop carrying bag, careful with putting water bottles in it because that will add an additional amount of weight and if you can carry the water bottles using your hand that would be better. Or if you can find a tote bag or lunch pal that has a carrying case for water on the side, that would work even better.

Honestly, that large tote from Coach while very cute and holds all of your needs, is not long term functional! Those straps will wear out so fast with that much weight on it and your shoulders and back will eventually resent you for carrying it too! I own several high end and inexpensive tote bags, purses, book bags, recyclable bags, work bags and suitcases, and most I overload with a lot of things I always feel I’ll need or someone else might need in the event of an emergency/accident. I’ve had my fair share of issues with some of them, but mostly when I’ve my large handbags or tote purses as a book bag/work bag, do I find that the straps will wear out and start to pull away from the stitching on the bag or the straps will crack & try to break.

I used to just keep everything but my laptop in my office locker. I could not be carrying such heavy bag every day and taking it for an after work drink, walk or errands as well! I also don’t carry a heavy water bottle, I got water at work and most of the places I went go.
