It's been 2 years since I've done a How To Be Basic: Work Bag edition and since it's been requested often here's an updated version for you all.

Disclaimer: How To Be Basic was started as a very loose title that was meant to poke fun at the term "basic b*****" and what it means to be one. The term "basic" in this video is still rooted in the definition of forming an essential foundation. However, How To Be Basic is not defined as "how many" does it take to be "basic" but more so about being a conscious consumer and what it means to own things you will use often. It's a process altogether and what is "needed" will mean something different to everyone. Watch this series grow, as I also navigate and share what it means.

I also have the large Mansur Gavriel tote. It's very durable. I call it my pandemic bag - I use it at work where I see COVID patients. So far, it has survived my daily Lysol wipes.

I have the same bag for work and I love how much I can fit into it! I am able to carry a packed lunch, drink bottle, umbrella, headphones, etc. and still have room for more if needed.

I live in a really safe country and don’t have to worry about pickpockets 🇳🇿However if it’s a worry, just get a bag organizer that has a zip on the top

I've been in Taiwan for 3 years, and everyone always used facemask. So definitely, it's not new to them wearing mask. And I must say, Taiwanese are one of those disciplined people I knew.❤️

I also love to match the colors of my stuff especially neutrals. I have the same type of phone case with sliding camera cover 💕 I bought it to prevent scratches while not in use and mixed with other items in my bag.

I used to use open tote bags but I prefer using bags with zipper and switched to faux leather backpacks (like Anello) since it has a classic, clean, and timeless design and can fit so many things. It also fits my lifestyle which is great! ❤️
