Meet Lander the cutest baby porcupine

Jeff the Nature Guy introduces Lander, an orphaned baby porcupine new at ZooMontana. These large rodents have strong quills hiding under their soft fur.

Literally I’m in love! Saw a baby porcupine about this she at Busch gardens tampa last month - fell in love instantly and am now obsessed. Do not know how I’ve lived this long without knowing about how awesome porcupines are and how absolutely freakin adirable the young ones are!

What a cutie! She is so cute when she eats too. Porcupines are such lovely animals. Have a look at Rico from Cincinnati Zoo I believe it is and its on You Tube. We get to watch him eat and walk about and he is sooo cute too!

They are related to Guinea Pigs and some of their behaviors are similar. 😊. We had one in a remote backpack campsite and he was quick to communicate and I am fluent in GP, so I spoiled her and gave them my hiking poles to lick the salt off. ❤😊

Aww, sweet baby. I have so many porcupines where I live, my dog as a kid got stuck with them twice iirc and I only recently almost tripped over the biggest one I've ever seen who was sitting on my front walk eating fireweed. Glad to see this little one is being taken care of :)

I saw one here in the wild a year ago and took pictures of it. I had no idea those quills were hiding under that soft fur. And that also explains why it kept turning its back to me as I tried to get a picture of its cute little face. Amazing.

Yeah, they truly are really cute animals. No doubt.

My sighting mustve been extremely rare. Probably once in a lifetime. It was actually my lady friend who spotted it first as I was driving us down the dirt country road somewhere deep in the rocky mountains.
