Η αγορά Borough βρίσκεται στην οδό Southwark νότια του ομώνυμου καθεδρικού ναού στην νότια άκρη της γέφυρας του Λονδίνου.
Τα σημερινά κτίρια σχεδιάστηκαν το 1851 από τον Henry Rose έγιναν προσθήκες τη δεκαετία του 1860 και η γνωστή Art Deco είσοδος προστέθηκε το 1932.
Τον 19ο αιώνα, η αγορά , γιγαντώθηκε λόγω της ευκολίας της μεταφοράς προϊόντων μέσω του Τάμεση με αποτέλεσμα να χτιστεί ένα οικοδόμημα νεογοτθικού τύπου, το οποίο ολοκληρώθηκε τον 20ό αιώνα με προσφορά κάθε είδους προϊόντων όπως ψάρια, κρεατικά , φρούτα και λαχανικά, αλλά και εκλεκτά μπαχαρικά και άλλα προϊόντα .
Η κατασκευή της σιδηροδρομικής γραμμής προσέθεσε πρόσβαση στο Borough Market διευκόλυνση σε όλες τις κατευθύνσεις, με τους σταθμούς London Bridge, Waterloo, Blackfriars και Cannon Street.
Τα μετέπειτα χρόνια έχουν γίνει αρκετές προσθήκες και αλλαγές και το το 2001 ξεκίνησε ανακαίνιση με ανέγερση το 2004 της στοάς από το Floral Hall η οποία ήταν προηγουμένως στο Covent Garden.
Το Borough Market είναι μια αγορά χονδρικής και λιανικής που λειτουργεί καθημερινές αλλά και ορισμένα τμήματα και τις Κυριακές.
Είναι μια από τις μεγαλύτερες και παλαιότερες αγορές τροφίμων στο Λονδίνο με την αρχική αγορά στην τοποθεσία να χρονολογείται τουλάχιστον από τον 12ο αιώνα.
Υπήρξε και παραμένει για πολλά χρόνια ένα από τα ωραιότερα μέρη της βρετανικής πρωτεύουσας και θεωρείται ο παράδεισος του στρητ φουντ αλλά και των διεθνών πιάτων.
Εδω θα βρείτε εξαιρετικά γλυκά , κάθε φύσεως ροφήματα και ζεστά φαγητά, μυρωδιές θεσπέσιες από κλασικα fish and chips , όλων των ειδών τα burgers, πολλές vegan επιλογές , γεύσεις για ολα τα γούστα με κόστος να ξεκινά περίπου από 10 λίρες το άτομο .
Αν και σκεπαστή είναι γενικότερα ανοιχτή αγορά κάτι μπορεί να σας δημιουργήσει κάποιο θέμα αν φυσάει δυνατά αλλά θα σας αποζημιώσουν γεύσεις από μεξικάνικες επιλογές , κλασσικές κινέζικες συνταγές , πικάντικα Ινδικά μενού αλλά και τα πανταχού παρόντα Ελληνικα πιάτα.
Πολύ κοντά στην αγορά Μποροου βρίσκεται η περίφημη γέφυρα του Λονδίνου , ο καθεδρικός ναός του Σαουθγουόρκ , δεκάδες καφέ , Πάμπς και ρεστοράν αλλά και το ψηλότερο κτίριο της Βρετανίας , ο 310 μέτρων φουτουριστικός ουρανοξύστης , το Σαρντ.

Borough Market is located on Southwark Street south of the cathedral of the same name at the southern end of London Bridge.
The current buildings were designed in 1851 by Henry Rose, additions were made in the 1860s and the famous Art Deco entrance was added in 1932.
In the 19th century, the market grew in size due to the ease of transporting products across the Thames, resulting in the construction of a neo-Gothic building, which was completed in the 20th century, offering all kinds of products such as fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, as well as fine spices and other products.
The construction of the railway line added access to Borough Market facility in all directions, with London Bridge, Waterloo, Blackfriars and Cannon Street stations.
In the following years there have been several additions and changes and in 2001 renovation began with the erection in 2004 of the gallery from the Floral Hall which was previously in Covent Garden.
Borough Market is a wholesale and retail market that operates weekdays and some sections on Sundays.
It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London with the original market on the site dating back to at least the 12th century.
It was and remains for many years one of the most beautiful parts of the British capital and is considered the paradise of street food and international dishes.
Here you will find excellent sweets, all kinds of drinks and hot food, smells of classic fish and chips, all kinds of burgers, many vegan options, flavors for all tastes with costs starting from around 10 pounds per person.
Although covered, it is generally an open market, something may create a problem for you if the wind is strong, but you will be compensated by the flavors of Mexican options, classic Chinese recipes, spicy Indian menus and the ubiquitous Greek dishes.
Very close to Borough Market is the famous London Bridge, Southwark Cathedral, dozens of cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as the tallest building in Britain, the 310 meter futuristic skyscraper, the Shard.
