Security beefed up in Kampala ahead of elections

Security has been beefed up in and around Kampala a week to the general elections. Police backed by UPDF soldiers deployed heavily as FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye and President Yoweri Museveni campaigned in different parts of the city. Deputy Police Spokesperson Polly Namaye justified the deployment and also explained that police has the legal mandate to work with other security agencies.
