Ableton Live with Stutter Edit and high latency plugins

There's a problem with Ableton Live and plugins that use project time (beats) to sync effects and LFO's and such. Here I'm demonstrating what happens when you insert a high latency plugin between a sound source and Stutter Edit. But same applies to any plugin that uses project time to sync things (such as Cableguys Volumeshaper 4).

This is a known issue in Live, but Ableton has done nothing to fix the issue.

For some plugins, there are workarounds available (like syncing to midi notes), but they can be quite awkward. For Stutter Edit I've found none.
