This is so helpful, thank you so much! I have a question for you... Is there a reason why when I save the design as an SVG the texture is removed? I followed your steps exactly, the AI file looks just how I want it. But for some reason, the texture is removed when I save it as an SVG. Any ideas why this is happening?

Thank you SO much for such a direct and easy video. I try to do this process a lot, and it's amazing how overly complicated so many other videos make this workflow!

Thank you Ann this was very helpful. The only thing I am having an issue with is exporting it as an SVG; when I do this, the effect is missing.

Easiest way possible, GREAT JOB! Just subscribed!! The video is a few months old so a reply might be a long shot… but is there a way to layer multiple distressing masks on one vector?

Very cool. Thank you for this.
Related question: How would you export this as a screen printed shirt design? Does the distress mask not also have to be vector?

Thank you for this! Question... I want to overlay my art work with a black texture. When I make an Opacity Mask, it turns my texture white. On top of that, my art work goes blank until I click "Invert Mask" and then I can finally see my art work again with the mask overlay. I just don't know what I"m doing wrong! Things that I do know - I'm trying to add a black half tone texture over my artwork. It is at the top of my Layers. Perhaps applying an Opacity Mask is not the right method? Help! Thank you!!

Non related question, how do I get the AI box from popping up, or stop popping up, it won't delete forcing me to restart.
