In a lecture at Hunter College, English director Trevor Nunn examined Shakespeare's earliest known plays and explored how his writing style gradually changed, culminating in the great tragedies like King Lear.

Trevor Nunn—former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, and the Tony- and Olivier-winning director of "Cats" and "Les Misérables," as well as every single play of William Shakespeare—visited Hunter College for a week-long residency in October 2024 as a Floria Lasky Visiting Artist.

This event was made possible by the Lasky Visiting Artist Fund and was organized by the Office of the Arts at Hunter College.
