Thank you for the very comprehensive video. I have access to a Go!Scan, and I've just started using it on some ElemX printed aluminum parts. So far, the scans... suck. However, I've got some 3D scanning spray (AESUB white) showing up today, and will get some black art foam to put on top of my turntable. Putting the targets on the black top of the turntable *should* help immensely. Thank you again for making one of the best YouTube videos in years. You didn't waste any time, and your presentation was clear. Good job.

Thanks Mark, this was very informative and helpful video! Having just finished scanning over 100 fabric furniture parts with an old GoScan, some of these tips would have come in handy - next time we know.

It’s a good video that has some really good ideas that can be used on any 3D scanner. I’m going too setup some off the marker ideas for my scanning as it will save having to remove & throughout a lot of markers & it will save a lot of time with setups & cleanups.

Thanks for the video. Some of these tips will be helpful on our current scanner while we wait for the funds to allocate to a Creaform scanner. Someday. Hopefully.

I recently started in inspection after being a machinist for around 15 years and my work purchased the c-scan/metrascan combo with the romer attachment as well. I was immediately blown away by the accuracy and friendly user interface regarding the software. I'm interested if their is a metrascan globe tutorial/tips and tricks upload anywhere as I'd love to have a leg up on my coworkers and then delegate the information at my discretion (gotta keep everyone on their toes being the new guy 😉) any information to make things easier with the globe/targets/c-scan stand would be much appreciated 😊

I would like to know your opinion about the laptop, a 4 Gb graphics card is enough for the 2020 scanners?

Could we use an electrostatic effect to hold markers on aluminium subjects?
Possibly use micro coils with adhesive markers.

With the price of a good CAD program for reverse engineering and the price of a modest scanner we are talking about $20-$30 K, not for freelancers!!!
