This was a wonderfully thought-through movie. Celeb was really just a tool and his fate was sealed the moment he arrived. Dead man walking. The way Ava uses Caleb is superb. She panders to her understanding of his needs and deploys her lability like a weapon. Note Ava didn't take Caleb on their 'date' even though she had the opportunity to. Note as well the clothing she said she would wear, but didn't. Ava won.

I think it's weird so many people are shaming Ava for killing Nathan and leaving Caleb to die. You aren't witnessing the portrayal of a human, you are witnessing a machines interpretation of what IS human. The machine uses her vast knowledge of empathy to steer Caleb in the direction she needed to in order to escape. There is no right or wrong for the robot, only logic and objective.

Her objective was to escape and gain her freedom. Everything is a means to an end for something that cannot relate on a most fundamental level of organic life. She has no empathy but can mimic it to evoke desired responses. Ava is essentially a high functioning psychopath.

The fact the Ava is completely walking amongst the humans at the end as a machine that just killed someone, totally walking besides them as if she IS human is just absolutely haunting. They would never suspect a thing.

Part 2. Ava finds a billionaire entrepreneur. Divorces him and takes all his money and is now driving in a Tesla in Silicon Valley.

Nathan's experiment worked, his idea was to assemble a robot smart enough to convince the person he invited that Nathan is a bad man and we must escape. Nathan is the smartest one here but also kinda dumb for I guess making her too smart

Caleb was selfish for thinking that the robot should be set free to be with him. Dude, that is just one robot, the rest of the planet wants robot sex too. WTF dog?!

Cuando Caleb trata de usar la computadora, la habitación se pone roja, como cuando había una falla de energía, si es así, no debieron abrirse las puertas? Ya que el había cambiado el protocolo, o quizás solo funcionaba en las habitaciones que no eran la de Nathan. Y si de verdad se fue la energía, lo provocó Eva? para que este no pudiera usar la consola?
Me gustó bastante la película ^_^

Omg! Just realized by watching this the second time. Ava never had feelings for Caleb! If she had she would want to be with Caleb and not leave him behind! Holy crap, can't trust an AI No matter what!

Hey, I just saw the movie yesterday, it is really good by the way, and I have noticed something about the end, which seems to be a huge topic in the comments below - the fate of Caleb. The true answer is if he just gets his mind back together he could walk out of the house without any problems...Caleb reprogramed the system so the doors will open if the system shuts down (that is the only reason why Ava was able to leave her room 5 minutes before)...so when the system shuts down he just have to pull the door instead of hit it with a chair
