Upper-crust executive Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd) and down-and-out hustler Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) are the subjects of a bet by successful brokers Mortimer (Don Ameche) and Randolph Duke (Ralph Bellamy). An employee of the Dukes, Winthorpe is framed by the brothers for a crime he didn't commit, with the siblings then installing the street-smart Valentine in his position. When Winthorpe and Valentine uncover the scheme, they set out to turn the tables on the Dukes.

This is the best movie from my teen years. The funniest movie of my life. 1983. What a wonderful time it was. The best time in American history to grow up. The 80's.

That’s one of my favorite lines in a movie. It’s so profound. People work hard their whole life, just to have their cheese moved willie nillie by some stock market insider. It’s crazy.

And…

I got to day trade for two days in 2013. I had this movie (and Wall Street etc) playing in the background.

The first day, I made $250 in 45 minutes. Exactly as I had predicted. The second day, I lost $6000 in 30 seconds. So I retired.

The third day, I bought my Rolex. 🤣

My mom never seen the movie Trading Places but I like it so much and I was hoping that I was going to buy the collection dvd and it was also released in June 8th 1983 it was a long time ago. No wonder how this movie depending on what it is and the better I get to see this. Trading Places 1983 Movie Review. Marlon Monday night aka Marlon Wayans.
