I never comment. 15 year divorce underway. Heartbreaking. Lives shattered, assets destroyed. Children's futures statistically guaranteed for a darker path. Illenium, you kept me alive. Tears roll as I write this. There is so much beauty in the world I can't hardly take it, albeit smothered in absolute darkness during the interim; your touch, the lyrics, overall ambiance, and heartfelt sounds from Take You Down, Fractures, From the Ashes, etc., then this.. incorporated emotions voided by years of vacancy which left me all but hollow; rekindled in their entirety from the depths of despotic despair over a simple month long interval. Jesus, Sleepwalker... I am finally Sleepwalking; the freedom is immense, overwhelming and undeniably beautiful. From The Ashes I rose and through a perpetual sleepwalk captured and regained who I was prior to the aforementioned almost overnight. Escaping toxicity and endless perpetual, verbal, half decade long, reigns of abuse, to recapturing my career; ascertaining and retaking my Series 65, saving my National and State Mtg licenses, Life Health and Annuity Licenses, focus for my Series 7, 66, 24, and pairing it with my 22, overnight; rekindled my ability of infinite forward and progressive movement of 14 years of unambiguous financial enterprise. I am a sleepwalker now, as my adjacent had been. May I add, as a prior entertainment enterprise individual, from a more youthful time; spinning locally Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and hosting a Saturday morning afterhours event for ages, from the utmost peak of regional talent and abiding approximately
200 paying shows per year. You, single handedly, perhaps saved my life, quite literally; via the aforementioned, I was safe. The discovery of this age old classic, Sleepwalker, remotivated me and opened the door mentally for me; thus, allowed me to recapture my meaning and, simply, let go of the horror I chased. I, the custodial property, and my family was abandoned, verbally abused, and left in a desolate state by total darkness overnight. Thank you. Please know you've reached someone special; I get it. In a special way, you, my friend, will see me front row, July 1st 2023 in Dallas. You've earned my capital, you've earned my respect; which is difficult. As such, keep it up brethren, you've done more than you can fathom, and I'm sure I do not stand alone. It may have just saved my life, along side my career. Godspeed my friend, see you soon. After listening to this song over and over, I’ve got an epiphany of sorts to explain what’s happening in this song:

The sleepwalker is the person of your dreams. It could also be a goal you wish to achieve or see yourself become. When Joni is asking the questions, it’s possible that’s doubt and fear of not meeting your goals or bringing your dreams to fruition. And then my favorite part, the chorus. You’re literally chasing your dreams to make them a reality. Whether it’s hard work, courage, determination, or anything that pushes/pulls you forward, you’re “sleepwalking” again.
