Kangal is too Dangerous to be in Police!

Kangal is so strong that the police don’t use it because he can cause great damage and be dangerous even for the police itself.

These dogs are usually super sweet. They arent violent to humans when introduced by owner or used to others but if trained as guard dog, very dangerous, we had one in my uncles house, an intruder climbed in over his large cage outdoors...Big mistake... Our kangal cut the guys arm off and he bled to death. On the other hand, I remember riding on kangals as a small child =) theyre super sweet when they dont see you as a threat or part of family. My dad used to say, starve kangal for days and they wont touch the food unless you tell them. Mad loyal animals. Beautiful creatures. Not for everyone. At some point we had 8 kangals, we had to make tons of foods, they grow at an insane speed.

I have one and they are strong but very temperate and extremely gentle if raised with other dogs and people around.

Kangals are independent. They protect herd and area. They instintively select the way, the best area to do it. I have seen a pack of kangals arrange themselves in around herd so well that they could be barely noticed. One hangs in the hend, one can barely notice it. The other hid himself under a bush far away from bush on the hill but can see the whole herd. That dog is ambushing wolfs from their back when they get close to the herd. Unbelievable creatures. Sheppers do not command them for everything. They know what must be done.

I once saw one tear a long legged pit bull limb from limb. After the attack, all that was left was a destroyed torso from the pit bull. It’s very funny when people compare pit bulls and Kangals, they are far beyond comparing

Basically: Kangals don’t answer on single command. And are too big/muscular too transport quickly in haste.

When people say "oh my god! Poor dog! Has a bloody neck from the collar!" 😂 More like good guard dog protecting farm animals. Poor predators got the sharp end of the spike

I have a Kangal, I don’t think they are too dangerous although they could do a lot of damage in a working situation which might be too extreme, they are in-fact quite gentle, sensitive and calm by nature… the main reason I think is they are independent thinkers to be trained as police dogs, nothing like the way you could train Malinois for instance.

A dog handler needs to be able to jump fences and at times lift the dog over. imagine doing this 5 times in fast succession with a Kangal.

I have 2 kangals and they listen on one command and I have no problem with them jumping in my trucks. So I don't know about that issue.

Breeders should start removing their independent nature from Kangals, and start breeding them to become personal protection dogs, since in my opinion guard and live stock guarding isn’t enough, I wish breeders would eventually make kangals more intelligent and less independent so that they can do personal protection work too, especially for their shear size that they have

my mom has a pure bred kangal beast of a dog named rocky that can bite everyone on command he ca't be a police dog he's too dangerous and indepedent of an individual too stubborn to be trained like malinois ord gsd however he could defeat those breeds in combat with ease however it's in his blood to protect family his backyard including chickens ducks and pigs no problem he roams around them without any issue he is also good with children but he hates starngers anyone walking around the gate is greeted with heavy barking and growling showing his big teeth but if he knows you he will like to get a good scratch or pet from you but he will observe you all the time he is very suspicious of strangers

You can‘t train Kangal-dogs. That is the reason, they are not used as service dogs.

They can't be police or military dogs indeed. Way too big and lacks the drive of a melanois or gsd and you can't train them, my kangal knows 6 commands but will only obey if he feels like it which isn't very often.

Would always prefer to fall into a fenced area guarded by a German shepherd than a Kangal.

No they Are not. In demonstration they use kangal. And also in special forces they. 1 kangal have killed a terrorist in ayn el arab in north syria

They’re not suppose to be trained, they are an ancient landrace breed that is very independent thinkers. That isn’t to be Kcufed with. They are a LGD and work together to protect under any circumstances.
