I just wanna buy the games separately, I pay for online anyways so it is nice getting them for “free” but I’d rather just straight up own the SNES/GBA etc games I want. Why does Nintendo fumble so hard all the time

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't Nintendo and SNES be virtual consoles too? If they are than those have been on the switch for awhile but according to the title it says finally so I'm confused.

I do think we should always have some way of being able to make digital game purchases instead of having to always have a streaming method through online subscription to access games. I think the online subscription should be for multiplayer and to access exclusive premium content which could be exclusive in-game items or to play a selection of games, (mostly obscure ones) at no extra charge

Switch Online (SO) is not a virtual console (vc). VC we can play anytime anywhere regardless of Internet connection. SO we have to have a constant internet connection to play the games. All "portable cloud gaming devices" is a scam because they need the internet to work. We can use our phones and get better outcomes or emulate and play anytime we want.

I hope the Pauline leak is true, I want her to become a consistent part of the spin-off cast like Rosalina did, which seems to be the case. Now all I need from this pass is some surprise new battle maps. Preferably one based on New Donk city. Which if they’re willing to add new characters this late there’s a small possibility. I'm sorry to burst your bubble SwitchForce, but this hardly counts as a "virtual console". Lets look back at what virtual console was on Wii and Wii U, you get to BUY individual games and keep them. No "online" requirement. NSO is nothing more than a "streaming service". Sure it's library has vastly grown, especially with the addition of GB and GBA, and including dlc content makes the overall price worth it. However to call this a virtual console is questionable.

Personally, I just hate subscription fees, unless it’s a really good value. $50 a year is kinda expensive. At most, I’d pay $35. I like being able to keep these games indefinitely.

This is NOT Virtual Console. Nintendo's online "service" is not a service either. It is a paywall blocking you from playing your games (which you've already payed for) online. Giving you access to some older games as long as you keep paying forever is a raw deal for consumers that will cost all of us far more than if you purchased each and every game on their once.
