My team
Storm - focused on her wind powers which cleared rooms like crazy
Iceman - a lot of frozen baddies and slowed enemies
Collosus - tank who pulverizes people
Scarlet Witch - excellent AI character who's magical hex powers come in handy but mostly her support abilities is just downright incredible

Other teams I've enjoyed
Magneto/Cyclops - for ranged and leader bonus, I feel Magneto is better
Nightcrawler - best character in the game, he can clear levels, rooms, bosses, enemies easily that I don't use him much even if he's so fun
Rouge - she's a great tank although I think her power sapping abilities are glitched
Sunfire - fire damage is always good in these kind of games

X-Men Legends 2 is my all-time favorite superhero game. I love it so much

With all seriousness, it’s surprising that the Armored Avenger showed up in X-Men Legends II. Keep in mind, the game came out in 2005, and that’s a year before we got the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game. So in a way, his inclusion marked a significant shift into what Ravensoft’s Next Marvel Game was going to be.

I call that foreshadowing.

It's issue is really technical limitations of the time.
Bigger maps, more destruction, and better graphics and we're good to go.

I really hope if they remaster this someday that they keep the cell-shading look. I was playing through the similar Avengers Ultimate Alliance 3 and it’s so hard to see what’s happening on screen.

but when you say all characters of course you have to consider the PSP & PC version which each has some unique characters such CABLE & SABRETOOTH
