'Part-time prime minister': Corbyn confronts Johnson over lack of flooding response

Jeremy Corbyn has called out the prime minister for not visiting victims of the UK's recent flooding and accused him of only 'pretending to care'. The Labour party leader called Boris Johnson a 'part-time prime minister', also noting his absences during the London riots and when Qassem Suleimani was killed

If I was flooded out the last person I would want to see would be Boris Johnson, or Jeremy Corbyn, this is just Jeremy Corbyn making political capital out of peoples suffering.

It's remarkable isn't it how senior politicians can mis-read or just simply ignore the people's mood. Certainly the PM has done exactly this but not to the degree that Corbyn himself did at the General Election and is still doing.

The only reason Corbyn can visit certain flood areas is, he has nothing else better to do. Whereas Boris has a country to run.

I agree with Corbyn on this topic, Boris response to the flooding has been terrible, Has he been hibernating. He needs to do more or this will be one of the reasons why i won't vote for conservative in the next major election.

The country needs the astronomic investment in HS2 far more than straightforward, nationwide engineering solutions which could minimise flood damage and harness water power to produce electricity and create a win win it ???
