TPRC Research Project: ECOMOLD

Vanessa Marinosci and Giorgos Kafkopoulos, both PhD students at the TPRC, explain about the ECOMOLD research project on multi material joints, with a focus on co-consolidation. Metal inserts can be used in thermoplastic composite structures for load transfer purposes to other parts of the structure. A proper understanding of the interface is therefore important.
