Intel Iris Xe (i7 1165G7) vs Nvidia MX350 in 11 Games

Benchmark Comparison in 11 Games between MX350 by Nvidia and the Intel Iris Xe (96 EUs).

Important: The Intel APU has not yet been driver optimized. In other words, drivers seem to suck yet. Recorded the Intel Iris with a capture card. Recorded the MX350 (unfortunately) with MSI Afterburner. So you'll have to add 5-10% more FPS to the MX350. Sorry!

Comparing Integrated Lapop Graphics is really hard because performance depends so much on the specifiy Laptop.

In some Games the MX350 is much faster. In some Games the Iris Xe is really close. Despite the tiny difference in the Firestrike Score (4000 Intel / 4400 MX350).

The only thing I want to know is if that 1165g7 was running at 28w TDP. Because if its not. The sad part is most laptop manufactures are limiting these chips to only 15w to get the best battery life.

Amazing what the 96EU Xe can do on Video Editing. But the mx350 or mx450 would definitely help on 3d tasks.

there is no mean for comparison, mx is a discrete gpu while Intel xe is integrated one.
and the comparison itself is a big success for Intel 👍

For integrated graphics it's doing a great job. I remember playing games like CSGO and Planetside 2 on a GT 940M. I'm pretty sure the Xe can match the 960M.

If you upped the power usage and fan speed you can get the same performance out of the Xe. I noticed through the tests the iris runner much cooler. You need to unlock it’s true potential.

Strange, I have much better results with i5 version of the Iris Xe. Maybe 'cause of the better optimized drivers after 10 months of the release. For example I have 4700 in Firestrike graphics vs 4000 in i7 here. maybe because of the much faster speed ram in my version of the notebook.

To me it seems that Xe LP is a really memory sensitive iGPU unless there are other specific issues involved like a Bios/software glitch we are not aware of, in other words LPDDR4x runs much faster than DDR4 on them. It also makes a difference if it's single or dual ranked but it is surely single ranked when it has 16 GB. Even the bad cooled 17W LPDDR4x devices reach a Firestrike score of 4400. Btw, is this the graphics or overall Firestrike score in your video?

Seems like VEGA is still the superior igpu for example the one in the ryzen 7, bonus for the 8 cores that come with them. Intel hopefully will compete, the more choices the better. I cant wait for when AMD will replace vega for igpus

Are you sure the Xe is working as intended? Dave2d got 5400 in Firestrike compared to your 4000. That's a big difference

I head that the new Iris Xe integrated graphics was comparable to an low-end dedicated cared like the MX 350... Looks like the Intel graphics actually get blown out of the water. Integrated graphics definitely does NOT suffice.
