Cheers! Very clever idea. I would like to recreate this design with some modifications. I would install a thin magnet at the end of the rack and a Hall generator in the motor holder. This would allow me to determine the end position of the rack after switching on. Please publish the design files in f3d format.
The design of the helical gear is great.
