I make a similar recipe but I crush rose petals or violets in my olive oil and let sit overnight, then strain and use for lip balm. It gives a hint of colour.

I like adding coconut oil because it adds some sun protection.  This is much better than the petroleum based.

i bet that tastes so good with the mint in it. i'd have to keep stopping myself from licking my lips and making them more chapped! i wonder, have you ever made it with coconut oil? probably work the same as olive oil.
