"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3 is the perfect scripture for this video. Sometimes it's time to work, sometimes it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Thank God that he made a time and purpose for all these things, otherwise, how boring would life be! Thanks for the video Brad!

I'm 62 and at this point in my life, things are not what it's all about. I don't want to be rich in money. I work like God says and I thank Him that I can still do it. Loving one another is what is important to me. And no, I can't know what others are really going through, but I can love them and pray for them and maybe help them in some way. Small things really do matter.

We all make choices. Never heard of Wranglerstar until you talked about him today, so I don’t know about him. I do my 45 - -50 hours at my “joe job” and come home and work like crazy on the farm. My hubby homeschools our kids and together we do our best to serve the Lord. To me my vertical relationship is priority over money or freedom. We just left full-time ministry to go to the farm because we felt the prompting of God to do that. My opinion is this — please the Lord in all things. Am I doing things that please God? That’s where the balance is for me.

People who do click bait more than once or twice... they're gone for good on my playlist. Once, maybe twice, if really clever.. maybe. But i don't got the time.

Thanks for this. I have been having a few hours of my mind buzzing, of a lot of things that I should have done and what I know I should be doing and feeling a bit overwhelmed and trying not to give in to the grey depression that is looming. Just take one step at a time and when I look back I can see that God has been there all the time.

I know people gotta do what they gotta do, we all just need to focus on stuff we gotta get done and not make judgement on what others are doing, if we can lift them up in Christ and be as supportive, then we are being true to ourselves

I agree with your thoughts whole-heartedly. We each have to pick our way through our homesteading lifestyle. I love raising chickens for eggs but not to butcher, at least not for now. I'm impressed by those who can do the butchering but I'm comfortable with not being able to do that, right now. My husband and I are both disabled so we can't do everything that other homesteaders can do and it's ok. We're happy with where we are right now. Other than taking care of our animals, we can take a day off, or an afternoon off. There can be a lot of work involved in homesteading or farming and we each have to feel our way through. Keep up the good work with your videos.

Click Bait turns me off. In my many years of watching channels, I find the ones I used to enjoy I can honestly say I don't anymore. Seems when folks concentrate on making money here, they think daily content is a must and their content goes down. Just my opinion. I find my subscriptions changing quite often.

While we all have “must do’s”, what’s left over usually falls under 2 basic categories of questions...
1. Is it a want or a need?
2. How much do I need the want?
When those Q’s are honestly answered, calm and balance usually follows, which I attribute to listening to the Holy Spirit guidance.

I don't and won't watch Wranglerstar because when I began scoping out Homestead channels, I was watching (& still do to be honest) people who taught me something, showed me something new or different, or attracted me by being real and genuine, but the videos he was posting were adverts! Plugging products because he'd been given them and the titles were downright misleading, I don't care to watch self-serving blatantly dishonest videos. No attacks, no insults, just voting with my feet! I've been with you since before 20, 000 subs and Bev in their Half Acre the same length of time, even though I've dropped more than just 1 or 2 channels in those years. Please, Please be careful trolling around on that ATV.Brad, I know that when it's 'your time', then it's your time and you can't dodge your destiny, we don't and can't know God's plan for us. But hearing what happened this week to Paul Vail of Homesteading Ways, may he rest in peace, makes it glaringly obvious that those things are just as dangerous as any other vehicle. Whether the accident caused his death, or his death caused the accident, those things are not as Off-road, All-terrain with no consequences as people think, and you've got too much to lose to throw it away by overestimating the stability of that machine.

I made a comment to Wranglerstar a few months ago and then unsubscribed. I commented to him that no matter how much money, or things you have, you will finally realize that you cannot do everything your mind desires. I, m much older than he and I can see where he is going. Simpler is better in my mind.

I believe it's definitely about balance. However, I've discovered that life often [for me anyway] throws curve balls. Just when you think there will be a slower timeframe just around the corner, a doozie hits. So, I find it's best to try to gain balance BUT that peace and joy in what ever circumstance comes your way is the most important factor. I also happen to believe that peace and joy stems from being in a right relationship with God. How else do you gauge what is truly important otherwise?

I use to have a commercial / industrial electrical contracting business with 30 employees. Over the years (babysitting grown men), working on the jobs with them and doing engineering nights and weekends I averaged working over 100 hrs/week. After about 10 years of that I dissolved the electrical business, just got tired of the daycare and wanted to achieve the goals I set at a earlier age of not having to carry tools and climb ladders at age 50. I went to work full time at a engineering firm while doing my architectural engineering projects nights and weekends, 9 more years of 100+ hrs week. Five year ago I walked away from full time job and have been running my engineering business with no employees and still average working 15+ hrs/day. For years I built a client base and very seldom turn projects away, no matter how busy I am. Have to play catch up on things around the house but I manage. To me, life is a goal. I am now 50, have a beautiful bride of 20 years and a very happy life, very blessed. People don't get it at age 50, I still have professional goals to set and assume I will be setting and striving for goals until I leave this Earth. Minutes of slack time makes me feel non-productive and lazy, accomplishment is satisfaction for myself. I have worked long hours for so many years that I can't bring myself to slow down.
