The one thing that didn't fit in the review is that the game isn't as painful to play as some of the other games I've reviewed. I didn't experience psychic damage, I was just bored and constantly baffled by how bad everything felt.

Not naming other games, but some of them have legitimately made me want to stop playing immediately and felt like torment to continue. So it's a step above those games.

Visually, it looks like a decent game. But yeah, if the core gameplay loop doesn't work, the story's bad and issues like obscured vision are present then it's not a game that can be fixed through patches.

Characters who move too slowly for the scale of the world they're traversing is an underrecognized game design issue. So many otherwise good games have been dragged down by wishing my character could just walk/run faster outside of combat.

Every time it seemed like he was going to point out something positive, it turned into another bash. Oh, well. There are plenty of stinkers that co.e out every year. They just tend to look worse, so we expect it.

Wow, seems like this isn't the developer's first game, and the ones before it were received well. Guess they took on a project that wasn't their forte.

An actual good review with strong opinions. Pretty rare nowadays. Most of reviews have degenerated to just people explaining every mechanic in the game and the types of weapons you use.

Man, that's a shame. Really hope the devs learn from this though. This does feel like an amateur title game. Competent but clunky. Hope there next title will be better.

It's a small thing compared to the issues discussed in the review, but lordy that Game Over screen is abrupt and jarring.
